No-bottle-no-fill

A filling-control function that prevents product discharge when the required receiving bottle is not detected at the filling position.

Also called: bottle absence control; missing bottle detection; bottle presence interlock.

What does a no-bottle-no-fill function observe?

The function uses bottle-presence sensing to permit or inhibit discharge at the filling position. For example, an alternating-chute arrangement can stop filling when a receiver is missing or a filled bottle still occupies the position. Other layouts use different sensing locations.

A bottle-presence signal concerns the receiver condition. It does not count tablets in that bottle or establish the absence of a count defect. Keep bottle control separate from product sensing and shutter operation.

Bottle-presence signals and restart behaviour

No. The relevant sensor position, permitted state and response belong to the configured machine. An alternating-chute machine and a conveyor counter can use different arrangements. The same feature name does not establish identical timing or recovery behaviour.

Distinguish a missing receiver from a bottle still occupying the fill position or a downstream back-up. Each condition can inhibit a different function in the machine’s control sequence.
