Count per bottle

The selected number of individual tablets or capsules to be dispensed into each bottle.

Also called: bottle count; fill count; pieces per bottle.

Is count per bottle a target or a measured result?

In a machine requirement it is the selected fill quantity, expressed in pieces per bottle. The actual contents must be established separately. A recipe showing 60 does not itself verify that a particular bottle contains 60 pieces.

Retain the product being counted with the number. A tablet, a capsule and a fragment are not interchangeable reference units. The defect criteria and the inspection evidence need to identify what counts as the intended unit.

How does fill count relate to bottle rate and bottle size?

Count is a quantity, not a rate or container volume. Pieces per minute, bottles per minute, pieces per bottle and bottle dimensions describe different requirements; none of those labels substitutes for another.

Multiplying a target bottle rate by pieces per bottle gives the corresponding required piece throughput on that stated basis. It does not prove the machine can deliver it or that the product physically fits the selected bottle.
