Storage, cap orientation and delivery
Name the function. Bulk storage supplies caps; orientation establishes the required face and direction; delivery moves them toward application. Elevators, vibratory or mechanical orienters, waterfall feeders and chutes represent different arrangements, not one universally included feed system.
Ask which functions and interfaces are included in the offered cap-feed system. The term feeder can describe a broader assembly, so neither the label nor a photograph of a hopper establishes the complete sequence. Retain the intended cap orientation at the handoff point.
Use the actual closure format and the intended receiving capper configuration. Record which cap dimensions, features and presentation the offer covers, along with any parts or adjustments used for a changeover. A cap-feed maximum does not establish the accepted output of the complete bottle line.
Identify inspection separately from cap feeding. Cap inspection and reject confirmation may be optional functions. Delivery of an oriented cap does not demonstrate that the correct cap was tightened correctly on the intended bottle.
