Blister cooling station

A machine station that cools sealed blisters or the sealed web after heat sealing.

Also called: post-seal cooling station; blister pack cooling station; sealed-web cooling station.

Does the cooling station form or seal the blister?

In a seal-then-cool arrangement, the cooling station follows sealing and precedes later operations such as coding, perforation or cutting. It is a distinct stage, not another name for pocket forming or applying the seal. Confirm the sequence on the actual line.

Identify the actual machine layout rather than assuming that every blister line has identical station hardware. Establish what contacts the web, where the cooling action occurs and what downstream operation follows. A drawing that labels one area “seal/cool” still needs the two functions and their timing explained.

Cooling hardware, timing and utility requirements

No. One names hardware and its process role; the other names an interval whose start/end must be defined. A laboratory delay before peel testing also does not describe coolant flow or the temperature reached by a blister on the production line.

For procurement, connect the station specification to the required utility circuit and the package outcome. Identify coolant supply/return points, operating conditions and the process state in which performance is assessed. Coolant temperature, product temperature and station count depend on the actual line and package.
