Rotary sealing

Sealing blister material and lidding with rotating sealing tools.

Also called: roller sealing; rotary blister sealing.

What moves during rotary blister sealing?

Rotating tools apply heat and pressure as the web passes through sealing. Continuous roller sealing differs from intermittent plate sealing. “Rotary” here names the sealing-tool motion; it does not establish the upstream pocket-forming method.

Identify the sealing station and how it handles the proposed web within the line. The motion of other stations may differ.

Can a rotary-sealing line process Alu-Alu?

Alu-Alu can be processed on a rotary-sealing line configured for that material combination. This is a configuration capability, not universal compatibility across rotary machines or grades of forming and lidding material.

Specify the forming and lidding materials, format and intended output. Report the sealing-contact time and package results at that operating point; a blisters-per-minute figure does not supply contact time.
